Aim to submit your article to at lest 10 ezines and 10 article directories and try to write at least 2 articles a week. Of course the more you can produce the better, but 2 a week should be the minimum. Dong this step will provide hundreds if not thousands of strong and quality links to your site and will help improve your search engine ranking. The most important thing to remember when writing articles is that quality matters much more than quantity. You must provide something interesting and valuable to your readers in order to succeed with this method.
Join blogs that deal with your product or keywords and spend a bit of time interacting with others. Build up a credible reputation by offering answers and solid advice and include a link to your site in your signature.
Also spend some time at discussion forums related to your niche and handle them the same way as blogs, only post when you have something valuable to say and be careful of how often you include your signature link as you could be tagged as a spammer if you abuse these forums.
Affiliate marketing is a viable method of supplementing your income or even replacing it, you just have to keep perfecting your plans until you find the combination that works for you.
